niuhuifei.com (牛会飞的理想) is a personal blog of Yife Liu. This blog has been started in October, 2005. It is home to the personal life, thoughts, and highly random contents of me.
Some important events in the developmental history of my blog:
- The first domain name for this site is 91fei.net. It have been discarded in October, 2006 because I want to get a dot com domain name. In fact, I am very compunctious for discarding this good domain name.
- In August, 2006, I got my first dot com domain name for this site: liuyife.com. It is related to my Chinese name but it is difficult for strangers to remember it. One year later, liuyife.com also say goodbye to me because I forget recharging it.
- Also last year 2006 I got my second domain name which have been used now: niuhuifei.com. I like it because it is very interesting.
- Niuhuifei is the Chinese Pingyin of “牛会飞”, Which means a cow or a bull can fly. I also remember some Chinese sentences: Son: Why the sky is so cloudy? Mum: Because some cows flying in the sky! Son: Why the cows can fly? Mum: Because some people is boasting now! Aha, so interesting story.
- The first inner core engine for this site is PJblog. It was so popular and excellent in 2005 that so many people used it for constructing personal blog. I have also made more beautiful themes for my PJblog site and you can get them here.
- The second blog engine used for this site is Wordpress. It is so wonderful for personal blog construction. I changed my blog engine from PJblog to Wordrpess in August 26, 2006.
- After the starting of my Wordpress site, I also modified many famous wordpress themes for adapting my own site. Such as the modified themes from K2,Unsleepable, Vertigo, 5thirtyone v2, Grid focus, etc. Now the niuhuifei Wordpress theme is made by me and I like it very much. A yellow background color is so good for protecting our eyesights.
- My personal blog is also under developing…
